The Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) will hold the 2nd ABAI Behavior Technician Conference on February 19, 2027, as a live virtual event running from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eastern time, with on-demand access afterward. The one-day program is aimed at behavior technicians and other frontline staff, including Registered Behavior Technicians.
Organized around the theme From Science to Practice: Essential Skills for Behavior Technicians, the program includes invited sessions by Nicole Gravina on receiving and seeking feedback, Brenda Terzich-Garland on promoting generalization, Corina Jimenez-Gomez on ethics and cultural responsiveness in school settings, Andrew Bulla on fluency-based mastery criteria and Mary Halbur on behavioral supports for healthcare and self-care routines. A closing panel chaired by Alice Shillingsburg wraps up the day. Registration includes BACB PDUs for RBTs and continuing education for QABA, BICC, IBAO and IACABAI technician credentials, along with six months of on-demand access. Single and group-of-five registrations are offered.
ABAI is the international membership organization for behavior analysis and also runs an annual convention and an autism conference. A dedicated technician event, now in its second year, reflects the central role of frontline staff in delivering direct ABA services and the ongoing professional development tied to technician credentials.
