The Washington Association for Behavior Analysis (WABA) will hold its 2026 annual conference on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Green River College in Auburn, Washington. Check-in opens at 8:00 a.m., sessions run from 8:40 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., and an in-person cocktail hour follows. Attendees can participate in person or virtually, and recordings remain available for six months after the event.

After an address by WABA president Ralph Pampino on the state of ABA in Washington, the single-track program features Rachel Taylor on revisiting the scientist-practitioner model for ABA practitioners, Shelby Dorsey on pathological demand avoidance and when ordinary demands become aversive, and Barb Gross on a rights-affirming framework for responding to sexual behaviors of concern. A panel on challenging conversations in ABA closes the day, and a poster session is planned. Professionals can earn 2 ethics and 4 general BACB CEUs, or 6 Washington LBA CE hours. Professional registration is $220 for members and $270 for non-members, with $45 to $60 rates for students, RBTs and community members.

WABA is an independent nonprofit professional organization affiliated with the Association for Behavior Analysis International, with members primarily living and working in Washington State. The conference’s focus on ethics, medical necessity and scientific practice reflects issues facing Washington providers who operate under state licensure for behavior analysts.
